Pippa’s Journey is Fuelled with a Passion for Healing
Pippa Cherrington, the heart and soul of Pippa’s Movement Therapy, has always been fascinated by the human body and its incredible capacity for movement. From a young age, she was drawn to helping others, finding more satisfaction in supporting people than in competition itself. This innate desire to heal and nurture led her on a path of extensive training and exploration.
Pippa’s journey began with a deep dive into the world of Tai Chi. She instantly fell in love with the practice, describing it as “coming home to my body.” This passion led her to become a qualified instructor with the School of Living Movement and an Intermediate-Grade teacher with the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.
But Pippa’s desire for knowledge didn’t stop there. Inspired by her own experiences with manual therapy, she began a journey to become a skilled massage therapist. She gained qualifications in Holistic Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Sports Massage with Rehabilitation, even adding Hot Stone Massage to her repertoire for a touch of luxury.
Driven by a desire to understand the intricate connections between physical limitations, injury, emotions, and trauma, Pippa dug deeper into the world of fascia and structural integration. She immersed herself in the Anatomy Trains approach, studying with renowned practitioners like Tom Myers and James Earls. This led her to achieve certifications in Structural Bodywork and Anatomy Trains Structural Integration, and she is also a Board Certified Structural Integrator with IASI.
Pippa’s commitment to continuing education and learning even more about the wonders of the human body is strong. She participates in advanced myofascial training programmes, attends British Fascia Symposiums, and engages with informative podcasts and webinars to stay at the forefront of her field. This dedication ensures that her clients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatments available.
